Among the changes that happened between Android 5.0 and 6.0 is the placement of the buttons for clearing the app caches and data.

The app cache stores elements of apps or websites, so they can be loaded quickly when you use them next. In apps like Google Maps or Chrome, this cached data can really start to eat away at your available storage on the device.

App Data refers to both the cache and other pieces of saved information, like your log-in and preference settings within the app itself. So if you want to clear some space or just set an app back to default (like you've just installed it), follow these steps:

Step 1: Head to the Settings menu. This can be done by tapping the gear icon in your notification bar.

Step 2: Tap on All menu bar on the top left corner to access the whole  menu of your Settings

Step 3: Scroll down and Tap the Storage Menu to access your Storage

Step 4: Scroll down and tap Cached Data to clean your phone caches.

 A pop-up window will appear asking you to Cancel or Confirm clean-up

Step 5: Click OK and then your phone will clean-up the cache and speed up your phone and increase disk space. DONE!

REMEMBER: This will not clean up your Media like Photos, Music & Videos. All will remain same as before But will be more optimized! It will also NOT delete your User data like Passwords and E-mails  

This trick will help you to Have space for installing more Apps and download more contents in your phone.
